I’ve been told that there are churches that avoid talking about the blood of Jesus. In fact, some have removed all references to the blood of Jesus; they are bloodless churches, which actually isn’t possible.
For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? (Hebrews 2:2-3) for the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin… (1 John 1:7). In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22).
Christ, a Lamb Without Blemish
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. ( Ephesians 2:13) For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (Peter 1:18-19)
There Will be a Day
Therefore, since you know these things, know also that there will be a day when there will be a loud voice in heaven, saying,
Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. (Revelation 12:10-11)
The Blood of Jesus is Ne
It seems to me that the blood of Jesus must be taught to every generation for we all need to know and understand that salvation isn’t possible without the blood of Jesus.
This topic reminds me of the song by Andraé Crouch, “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power.” If you’ve got five minutes for a blessing, just listen to CeCe Winans sing this powerful song.
