So who does God see when He looks at a Jew or a Muslum? Doesn’t He see the blood of Abraham? From Abraham’s son Ishmael1 came the people from Arabia, and from them came Islam2. From Abraham came his son Isaac, and God chose Isaac’s son Jacob to be the father of the twelve tribes of Israel3 (Jacob), but neither Isaac nor Jacob was the promised Seed4. To God’s chosen people, Israel, He gave access to Himself through the Law of Moses.

However, God does not see the blood of Abraham when He looks upon the remainder of the world, the world of the Gentiles, because all of His promises come from the lineage of Abraham. But now, in these last days, since Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, a mystery has been revealed.

God has given me [Paul] the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory – Colossians 1:25-27 NLT (emphasis added)

Jesus is a Jew by His mother and therefore a son of Abraham by blood. The Spirit of God is His Father. God sacrificed on the cross Jesus, His only begotten Son5, and the promised Seed of Abraham, so that by Jesus, anyone can receive remission (cancellation of debt) of sins and reconciliation to God.

In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God. – Galatians 3:6-7

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise. – Galatians 3:29

God sees a child of Abraham not by their bloodline, but by the blood of Jesus applied to his or her life —to the person who has faith in Jesus. This is the mystery that is the Good News. In truth, we are the true sons and daughters of Abraham.
