Rejoice always

I heard a preacher say, “If you do all the do’s in the Bible you won’t have time for the don’ts.” That’s a catchy phrase and there’s some truth in it. Paul wrote, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18NIV)

If we actually take this verse as gospel – well it is gospel – anyway, if we do what the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write then we will have precious little time in our lives for the “don’ts”. And, this verse also answers everyone’s question, “What is God’s will for my life?” If we do what this verse says, God will uniquely guide each of us into His will for us.
