As believers in Christ Jesus, we are not powerless in a world that seems to grow more insane each day. I was reminded of this today by the following verse:
For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power. – 1 Corinthians 4:20 NLT
We live by the power of God. Jesus said, just before He ascended:
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
When Jesus sent His twelve apostles, He instructed them (and us) to “be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” This world is not our home and should not preoccupy our thoughts.
Our duty is to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, to be prepared to stand before Jesus and give an account of what we did with the life He gave us, to share Christ’s Good News with the lost, to not be ashamed of the Gospel, to not deny Jesus, to pray for our Christian brothers and sisters, and to live by faith, hope, and peace, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Easy, peasey. 😇
