Difficult Scriptures

I struggle with a few small parts of the Bible. Peter wrote (2 Peter 3:16) that some of Paul’s scriptures “contain some things that are hard to understand.” I have realized that I have much more to learn, and there may be a few “missing puzzle pieces,” things God has not revealed.

The following verse helps me.

“The LORD our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions. – Deuteronomy 29:29

Maybe you have a passage of Scripture that has dogged you for a long time. A passage that you’ve studied time and again but without clarification. Accept it by faith, even if it upends your worldview.

Faith is our tether to God. The Holy Spirit may reveal it to you after you receive it in faith. But God may not connect the dots for you. He highly values faith.

Consider how eminence Scripture is, yet there is more that God has not revealed! Wow!
