I wanted to says, “Are you kidding!” For, there was no way this could have happened as there was a perfectly cut chunk of hair cut out right in front.
Or, perhaps the story of the nun in India that was cleaning a leper when a Westerner walked by and said, “You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to do that!” to which the nun replied, “Me, either.”
By the end of a couple of hours, the outside of that old beast looked like it had fallen off of a truck.
It is a great loss to Western culture that deep friendships are usually considered to be romantic or at least it carries that potential. While much of the world understands the five kinds of love, Western culture, it seems, does not.
Somewhere during the evening, the conversation turned to the two of them having been married sixty-two years. There’s been longsuffering during some of those times. I can’t express how deeply I love and respect them for being an example to so many people, myself included.
This passage of Scripture is fascinating. The religious leaders of that time had elevated the law of Moses above the God of Moses. They thought they were in charge. So, when the giver of the law stood before them, they attempted to put Mose above Him!
Psalms 32:10 (Living Bible) reads, “Many sorrows come to the wicked, but abiding love surrounds those who trust in the Lord.”
