Somewhere during the evening, the conversation turned to the two of them having been married sixty-two years. There’s been longsuffering during some of those times. I can’t express how deeply I love and respect them for being an example to so many people, myself included.
This passage of Scripture is fascinating. The religious leaders of that time had elevated the law of Moses above the God of Moses. They thought they were in charge. So, when the giver of the law stood before them, they attempted to put Mose above Him!
So many times at work, on TV, or just out in public places I’ve heard people say, “For the love of God!” as a way to communicate their frustration.
